VISIT OF BYZANTINE CHOIR OF MILITARY SCHOOL OF OFICERS CORPS (SSAS) TO THE HOLY GREAT MONASTERY OF VATOPEDI

The Byzantine Choir of the Military School of Officers Corps (SSAS) carried out, with deep reverence and spiritual benefit, a pilgrimage to the Holy Great Monastery of Vatopedi, on the occasion of the service of the Fourth Friday of the Akathist Hymn (March 20, 2026) and the Sunday of Saint John Climacus (March 22, 2026).
During their stay, the members of the Choir actively participated in the sacred services and the chanting of hymns, contributing with devotion and a high standard of ecclesiastical ethos to the liturgical life of the Monastery. Their presence enhanced the devout atmosphere of the days, offering a unique spiritual auditory experience to the attending fathers and pilgrims.
Special mention should be made of the warm hospitality of the Monastery’s Brotherhood, as well as the continuous care and guidance provided to the members of the mission throughout their visit.The Choir expresses its sincere and heartfelt thanks to the Abbot of the Holy Monastery, Elder Ephraim, for his paternal reception, blessing, and the spiritual guidance he generously offered.This experience constituted a significant milestone of spiritual cultivation and reinforcement of ecclesiastical tradition for the members of the Byzantine Choir of SSAS, who returned with deep gratitude and renewed zeal for the service of the sacred art of Byzantine chant.
