From 16 to 20 February 2026 the Hellenic Military Academy of Combat Support Officers conducted successfully the Common Module (CM) entitled “Budget & Finance in the EU Defence Sector”, under the auspices of the European Security and Defence College.
The programme brought together cadets and students from several Greek and European institutions. Participants included eighteen cadets from the Hellenic Military Academy of Combat Support Officers (HMACSO), four third-year cadets from the Hellenic Air Force Academy, three third-year students from the School of Nursing Officers, two cadets from the Fire Officers School, one cadet from the Fire Non-Commissioned Officers School, and one Officer from the Supreme Military Support Command of the Army, who attended as an observer. International participation included twelve cadets from Military Academies in Italy, Spain and Romania, one student from the Institute of International Relations (IDIS), and two students from the Romanian Naval Academy. All participants successfully completed the programme.
Throughout the week, the programme featured lectures and workshops delivered by officers of the Armed Forces, offering participants valuable insight into financial management and budgeting within the European defence framework. The schedule also included an educational visit to the War Museum of Athens and an educational excursion to Vergina.
