From the 08th to the 12th of May 2023, three (3) of our Academy’s cadets participated in the common module “Law of Armed Conflict” which was organized under the authority of the European Security and Defence College (ESDC) by the School of Applied Military Studies in Turin, Italy. The total number of participants was forty-two (42) (military academies’ cadets and civilian universities students), from four (4) different countries (Italy, USA, Greece, and Poland).
The main object of the course was the training of the participants in the Law of Armed Conflict and the intensification of substantial cooperation between military academy cadets from the European Union member countries.
Working in groups and team activities contributed to deepening and updating the knowledge of the participants about the Law of Armed Conflict while the interaction of the participants through exchanging opinions resulted in understanding the need to create a common European culture among the future officers of the EU member states’ Armed Forces.
