Upon entering the Academy, new Students undertake their basic training which lasts for three (3) weeks.
The theoretical military training of all students takes place alongside their university activities, at times when there are no university obligations, throughout the academic year.
The applied military training includes:
> 5-day morning and night sharpshooting course combined with academic activity.
> 1-week long hibernal survival and training with the participation of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th years in the Livadia, Pertouli area of Trikala after the February exam period completion.
> 3-week-long summer survival and training with the participation of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years in the Faros, Poseidi area of Chalkidiki after the June exam period completion.
By concluding this activity, the annual military training cycle closes and the students depart for their summer leave.
Upon their return, the school year is completed.
The Academy, through the Student Battalion, monitors their applied military training and their performance.
