Colonel Konstantinos Terpsidis, was born in 1962 in Thessaloniki. He was admitted the Hellenic Military School of Combat Support Officers (MSCSO) as a student of the Veterinary School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated in 1986 as a Veterinary Officer.
From May 1987 to August 1989, he served as a staff medical officer in the Medical Directorate of the 4th Support Brigade in Xanthi, while in 1988 he was promoted to Lieutenant.
From September 1991 to June 2001 and from July 2003 to 2009 he served at the C´ Army Veterinary Hospital in Thermi Thessaloniki, as the Director of Breeding, Training and Nursing of Military Working Dogs, undertaking the planning, organization and implementation of the new program of the Hellenic Armed Forces Military Working Dog breeding program.
From July 2001 to July 2003, he served as a staff medical officer in the XVI Mechanized Infantry Division in Didymoteicho.
In 2002 he graduated from NATO / JOINT MEDICAL PLANNERS COURSE in Germany.
From June 2009 to July 2011, he served as a staff medical officer in the Medical Directorate of the III Support Brigade in Assiros.
From July 2011 to June 2017, he was the Commander of the C´ Army Veterinary Hospital in Thermi Thessaloniki
From June 2017 to May 2018 he was the Chief of Health and Safety Department and from 2018 tol June 2021, the Chief of Medical Directorate of the Hellenic Army Sustainment Division in Thessaloniki. From 5th of July 2021 he serves as the Deputy Commander of Hellenic Military School of Combat Support Officers (MSCSO).
He has attended and graduated from all military medical schools.
SCIENTIFIC EDUCATION AND TITLES
In 1986, he graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from the Veterinary School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
From 1989 to 1991, he was specialized in Companion Animal Internal Medicine and Surgery.
From 2002 to 2004, he was postgraduated in Clinical Parasitology and Parasitic diseases of animals and humans and in 2011 received his PhD in the School of Veterinary Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He is a full member of the Small Animal Veterinary Branch of the Hellenic Veterinary Medical Society and a corresponding member of the Hellenic Veterinary Academy.
He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Veterinary School, in the laboratory exercises of Parasitology and Parasitic diseases and in Military Working Dog breeding methods.
As a guest speaker of the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, he gives lectures on issues of zoonotic diseases.
He has participated as a guest speaker in over 60 national and international scientific conferences with more than 40 original research papers.
He is the author of scientific papers in Greek and international scientific journals and reviewer of scientific researches of the Journal of the Hellenic Veterinary Medical Society and a member of the organizing committees of the Hellenic Armed Forces Medical Conferences.
He is married with 3 children.
